Haneda Airport Garden is a multi-purpose complex connected to Haneda Airport's Terminal 3 that opened in 2023. Visitors can enjoy shopping, delicious cuisine, and a hotel with an onsen (hot spring). There's also a bus terminal offering access to all the cities and regions in Japan.
Haneda Airport Garden: Offering So Many Fun Things to Enjoy!
Haneda Airport Garden opened in January 2023. This multi-purpose commercial complex is directly connected to Terminal 3 of Tokyo's Haneda Airport.
Haneda Airport Garden covers an area of about 100,000 square meters!
On the second floor, you'll find the shopping areas of Japan Promenade, Haneda Sando, and HANEDA COLLECTION. On the first floor there is a restaurant area and a bus terminal. There's also a hotel with a hot spring inside.
Despite its vast size, the complex is divided into separate areas. Visitors can enjoy shopping and dining without getting lost or tired from walking around.

Next, we'd like to introduce the different areas in their proper order.
Japan Promenade Shopping Area
The Japan Promenade Shopping Area has 15 shops featuring Japanese craftworks and gourmet cuisine.
For craftworks, there's a shop selling elegant Fukui umbrellas, which some visitors to Japan may have encountered at the famous Zen temple, Eiheiji. Then there's HARIO Satellite. This is the first concept store for HARIO, the renowned brand known for its heat-resistant glass products.
There are many popular food spots here, including Saryo Suisen, a Kyoto confectionery shop; Okume, a long-established seafood wholesaler; and Kinkume (Gold Rice), a restaurant specializing in fresh seafood donburi (rice bowl dishes).
You can eat inside the shop or order takeout to enjoy your meal on the outside benches.
Mosuke Dango
At Japan Promenade, we'd like you to take note of Mosuke Dango.
The shop goes by the name of their popular souvenir found at Tokyo's fish market. Dango is a special confectionery treat made by skilled craftspeople using carefully selected ingredients.
At Haneda Airport Garden's Mosuke Dango location, you can order ochazuke (a bowl of rice steeped in green tea), Ogura Butter Sandwiches, and oshiruko (a sweet soup filled with red bean paste and mochi)―items not usually available at typical shops.
For this article, our writer ordered the dango set (see photo above).
There are three dango varieties: shoyu (soya sauce), tsubuan (red bean paste with whole beans), and koshian (smooth red bean paste). Customers can choose two of these to savor with their matcha green tea.
Customers can even whisk their own matcha green tea or ask the shop staff to prepare it for them. Since this is a unique opportunity, we recommend making the matcha yourself. Enjoy a matcha flavor that suits your personal preference with dango sweets.

In contrast with Japan Promenade, the HANEDA COLLECTION Shopping Area will support your travel experience. The shops in this area sell travel goods and cosmetics alongside fashion items ideal for your trip.
Haneda Sando Shopping Area
The Haneda Sando Shopping Area has a wide variety of goods, including Japanese miscellaneous items, clothing, and food products.
Shoppers will also find Gacha World, the popular capsule toy store, and GTN, a shop providing internet services and information for Japan's overseas residents.

Other Recommended Shops
In addition to the three main areas mentioned above, Haneda Airport Garden has other shops such as Lawson (convenience store) and Matsumoto Kiyoshi (drugstore).
Next, we'll introduce other stores that we highly recommend!
KOKUYO DOORS
KOKUYO DOORS is a shop managed by Japan's popular stationery company Kokuyo. The premises are lined with many Kokuyo products, including merchandise only available at this Haneda Airport location.
Inside the shop, there's a stationery vending machine―the only one in all of Japan. While waiting for your purchase to arrive, some animation will appear on the screen. Even waiting can be a fun experience!
KOKUYO DOORS has many popular items, especially the gift box exclusively available at this Haneda location. Since it's incredibly popular, customers often have to wait for new deliveries to arrive. Be sure to check this out!
TOBI・BITO SWEETS TOKYO
TOBI・BITO, part of the shop name TOBI・BITO TOKYO, was inspired by the sound of the Japanese word "tabibito" (traveler).
Haneda Airport Garden has two shops: TOBI・BITO SWEETS TOKYO and TOBI・BITO SOUVENIR TOKYO.
TOBI・BITO SWEETS TOKYO has brought souvenir items from all regions of the country to this single spot.
This huge selection includes souvenirs from the Tokyo National Museum, senbei rice crackers with motifs of ukiyo-e prints by famous artists Hiroshige Utagawa and Katsushika Hokusai, and cookies made in collaboration with various artworks.
The KitKat and HI-CHEW sold here feature special local flavors. There's also Japanese sake and some unique food products and ingredients.
How about buying some of these amazing products as souvenirs and sharing them with friends and family upon returning home?
Also, TOBI・BITO SOUVENIR TOKYO, with their concept "TOKYO MIRACLE!", sells anime goods and traditional crafts. So, by all means, please check this out as well!
The Kurashi Store of Hokkaido
The Kurashi Store of Hokkaido is a shop promoting the goodness of Hokkaido. Local souvenirs and food products include coffee, dashi soup packets, and curry. The shop's only location outside of Hokkaido is in Haneda Airport Garden.
At the counter inside the store, shoppers can sample craft beer from every region of Hokkaido. We also recommend their vanilla soft-serve ice cream.
Hotel Villa Fontaine
Haneda Airport Garden's Hotel Villa Fontaine is Japan's largest airport hotel.
Guests use the common entrance that's shared with the shopping area. Hotel-goers will arrive at the lobby by taking an elevator or stairs to one of the building's upper floors.
The hotel is divided into two sections: the luxurious Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport and the business-oriented Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport.
The accommodations differ in terms of guest room sizes and check-in procedures. However, both hotels meet guests' needs, offering a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport
Hotel guests at Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport can relax on the lobby sofa while being checked in by staff. All rooms have an ocean view, with Mt. Fuji visible on sunny days.
In addition to the lamps and other refined interior items, the tranquil and relaxed rooms are equipped with a coffee maker. The carpet's map motif perfectly matches the wallpaper capturing Tokyo's night view.
There's also a spacious walk-in closet to store your suitcase and clothes. Even if you get carried away with your souvenir shopping, there's plenty of space to keep them here.

Even those not staying at the hotel can enjoy this hot spring (closed from 10:00-13:00 for cleaning). They can also dine at the restaurant and use the rest area on the premises.
Visitors who aren't hotel guests can leave their luggage and personal belongings at the OMOTENASHI CENTER at the hotel's entrance.

At the women's bath (Fujimi-no-Yu) and men's bath (Ginyoku-no-Yu) at Izumi Tenku no Yu, visitors are treated to a stunning view of Mt. Fuji.
The natural, free-flowing hot spring waters are slightly alkaline. These soothing hot springs are said to be therapeutic for people sensitive to the cold and experiencing dry skin problems.
Visitors with tattoos are also welcome. They are kindly asked to purchase a sticker at the nearby vending machine to cover up their tattoos. Buy a sticker before entering the bath to make sure the tattoo is not visible.
Bottled milk is also sold on the hot spring premises―an unusual sight nowadays. After exiting the bath, why not gulp down some refreshing cold milk?

Izumi Tenku no Yu has several varieties of hot springs, including a dry sauna and a medicinal steam sauna.
Even the facility's equipment showcases creative ingenuity. For example, the showers have adopted Mirable Zero―the latest showerhead in Japanese technology. The tiny shower bubbles penetrate deep into your skin pores to clean out impurities.
You can remove your makeup with the power of these tiny bubbles without any makeup remover. It's worth visiting to experience this miraculous shower technology!
Haneda Airport Garden: Restaurant Floor (1F)
The first-floor restaurant area is lined with ten shops offering signature Japanese cuisine. This includes yakiniku, ramen, sukiyaki, shabu shabu, curry rice, unagi don (eel rice bowl), and okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake).
Next, we'd like to introduce two particularly popular restaurants!
Hanayama Udon
Hanayama Udon has a history of over 100 years. This long-established shop has its main location near Gumma Prefecture's Tatebayashi Station.
There are several locations in Tokyo, including Ginza and Nihonbashi. This shop is the only place inside an airport to enjoy authentic udon.
Incidentally, there are many famous stories surrounding the udon at their Gumma shop, Hanayama Udon Honten. For example, the noodles were once dedicated to the Japanese royal family and even taken as portable food during an Antarctica expedition.
However, the secret behind why customers line up in front of the shop can be found in the chewy texture of the noodles!
You can also enjoy a special menu exclusive to the Haneda Airport Garden location.
Misokatsu Yabaton: A Nagoya Specialty!
In Nagoya, there are many spots where you can sample Nagoya's popular local specialty, miso katsudon. But the most famous might be Misokatsu Yabaton.
Visitors can savor the juicy, deep-fried pork cutlet with rich miso sauce at this airport location.
Bus Terminal
Buses headed for the heart of Tokyo depart from the bus terminal on the first floor of Haneda Airport Garden.
Highway buses going to Kyoto and Hiroshima also leave from here. You can access these regions directly from Haneda Airport without departing from central Tokyo. This allows visitors to use their travel time more efficiently.
Inside the bus terminal, there's a public washroom, a nursing room, a souvenir shop, and a convenience store. If you forgot to buy a souvenir, this is the best spot to pick one up!
Shared Taxi
nearMe.Airport, an airport transport service using a shared taxi.
The fare will be split among people sharing the ride, so it will be cheaper than a taxi and a smoother ride than a bus.
