The magnificent teamLab Borderless has relocated to Tokyo's Azabudai Hills and is set to reopen on February 9, 2024.

The Mori Building Digital Art Museum: EPSON teamLab Borderless has a series of new interactive art installations and larger exhibition rooms for guests to explore and indulge in mesmerizing art. With plenty more to be announced later, teamLab has shared information on three brand new installations it has added so far in the museum.

New Art Installations

The following three installations are among the new additions to the Mori Building Digital Art Museum: EPSON teamLab Borderless.

1. Untitled

Known as a space without borders, the immersive digital art museum allows its guests to become part of the artwork involving the senses. Art overflows into each room, communicating and interacting with other pieces to create a new world.

Hundreds of lights rotate around like clockwork, changing color amongst illuminated mirrored floors and creating the illusion of an infinite room. As the room turns dark, the lights turn into vibrant colors, looking like a cosmos of stars in a galaxy.

3. Light Sculpture Series

Lights projecting mystic breams inside the room's tunnel create stunning three-dimensional light patterns.

"Birth" reconstructs space and three-dimensional objects through beams of light.

"The Sculpture of Time Distortion in a Mirror" is another installation in the Light Sculpture series. Reflecting off a three-dimensional object, the light creates the illusion of time slowing down.

Visitors can interact with the installation, moving while watching themselves in the mirror only to see that their reflection is delayed, as if they are watching their past selves!
