Hiraoka Shrine

The precincts are refreshing and integrated with the nature of Mt. Ikoma.

It is a shrine in Kawachi Province and is famous for the Shimenawakake Shinto ritual (commonly known as the comedy ritual). Approximately 2,000 years ago, it was enshrined at Mt. Kamitsudake, but later, in the first year of Hakuji (650), it was moved from the foot of the mountain. The deities enshrined are Amenokoyane no Mikoto, Himemikami, Takemikazuchi no Mikoto, and Futsunushi no Mikoto.

The stone monuments and stone lanterns on the wide, straight approach leading from Hiraoka Station give you a sense of history. Many couples visit this shrine to receive blessings from the god of matchmaking. A shrine that blends into the nature of Mt. Ikoma and a quiet, dignified atmosphere is a spot you should definitely experience.

Ishikiri Tsurugiya Shrine

I want to visit Ishikiri-san, who is famous nationwide for his 100 degrees visit.

The shrine has a long history, and is said to have its origins in Miyayama at the foot of Mt. Ikoma about 2,700 years ago, when the deity Nara Haya was enshrined there. The deities enshrined here are Yasuhaya no Mikoto, who was a powerful figure in ancient Kawachi and Yamato, and his son, Kami Mate no Mikoto. In Nihon Shoki, the old man Shiotsuchi said, ``There is a beautiful land in the east, and I have circled Aoyama four times, and among them there are people who jump on Tenban ships,'' and in response to this point, Emperor Jimmu There is an account in which he said, ``The person who says that the sky is flying down is the one who is said to be a speedy day.''

He is also known as Ishikiri-san, the god of tumors, and is famous nationwide for his ``Ohyakudo Mairi,'' where he prays to the gods 100 times. This shrine has been introduced many times on TV and in magazines. Along the approach to the shrine is a shopping street that retains the atmosphere of the Showa era, making visitors feel nostalgic. Sweets that pray for good health are recommended as Ishikiri souvenirs.

Hyōtanyama Inari Shrine

The name comes from the fact that the ancient tomb in the back looks like a gourd.

It is said to have started in 1583, when Toyotomi Hideyoshi enshrined the "Fukube Inari" and a golden gourd from Fushimi Castle in a gourd-shaped tumulus in Sanri, Tatsumi-no-kata, when he was building Osaka Castle. The main shrine building is built on the Hyōdanyama tumulus, and is the headquarters of Tsuji-tsur, which has been famous for love, market prices, and various fortune-telling since the Edo period.
