If you are going by highway bus

Expressway buses bound for Lake Kawaguchi Station depart from Shinjuku Station's express bus terminal, Busta Shinjuku. During the climbing season, there is also a direct bus to the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station. (As of July 2025)

If you are traveling by express train

The FUJI EXCURSION limited express train, which departs from JR Shinjuku Station, is convenient. You can get to Lake Kawaguchi Station without changing trains. You can also take the JR Chuo limited express trains Kaiji or Azusa to Otsuki Station, then transfer to the Fujikyu Railway to Lake Kawaguchi Station.
