The John Man Travel Campaign will award participants with "Meji-ca," a local currency that can be used at participating stores in Tosashimizu City.
"Meji-ca" is pronounced "Mejika" and is derived from the local name for "Sou-dagatsuo," a specialty product of Tosashimizu City, which is processed into bonito flakes and accounts for approximately 70% of the national market share.
