What is ALPS OUTDOOR SUMMIT?

This outdoor event has been held in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture since 2023 under the concept of "LOVE CRAFTMANSHIP." It is held every year to highlight the craftsmanship of camping and mountain climbing gear and to liven up the global outdoor market.

The motto for this year's event, which marks the second time it has been held, is "Thank you to the mountains."

The reason for holding the event in Matsumoto, the gateway to the Northern Alps, is to face the assets and resources of mountains. We will not only face the good side, but also the challenges. Mountains and camping. This is the second event that straddles two fields, focusing on the craftsmanship of gear and expressing gratitude to the mountains.

At the event, we create and support a space where mountain and outdoor related manufacturers (camping/mountain climbing), makers, buyers, dealers, media, and users can connect with each other in a cross-sectional manner.

◆Mini booths where you can learn about the latest outdoor culture and fields

◆ Manufacturers' exhibits outside the dome, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors

◆Craft workshops that both children and adults can enjoy

A food truck filled with delicious craftsmanship and drinks

The talk event will also feature a talk by Glenn Van Peski, founder of GOSSAMER GEAR, a pioneering UL (ultralight) brand. You can also listen to a live talk by Yosuke Sugino, who plays the lead role in the popular drama series "Mountain Doctor," which focuses on mountain medicine. On the day, Dr. Tomohide Ichikawa, a real mountain doctor from Matsumoto Kyoritsu Hospital who supervised the medical aspects of the drama, will talk about the filming in the mountains and the importance of mountain medicine. This stage will also serve to raise awareness of safety for mountain fans.
