1-day Osaka's Timeless Charms Tour: Shrine, Knives, and Castle Delights

This day trip departs from a hotel in Osaka City and explores faith, craftsmanship, and castles. First, we visit Sumiyoshi Taisha, the head shrine of all Sumiyoshi shrines nationwide. A guide will provide easy-to-understand explanations of the unique Sumiyoshi architecture, the drum bridge, and other features and history of this ancient shrine. Next, we travel to Sakai and experience the craftsmanship and local industrial history at the Sakai Traditional Industries Hall, and feel the depth of Japanese cutlery culture at the adjacent knife exhibition. In the afternoon, we visit Osaka. While highlighting the Ishigaki, turrets, and keep, we enjoy a three-dimensional view of Osaka's history, from the Toyotomi to the Tokugawa.
