1-Day Tokyo Tour: Ueno Park, Yanaka, Imperial Palace and Shibuya

We'll meet at a hotel near Tokyo Station and take the train to Ueno. We'll take a leisurely stroll through the lush greenery and along the waterfront of Shinobazu Pond, enjoying the tranquility that's hard to believe is in the heart of the city. Next, we'll move to Yanaka, where "old Tokyo" still remains. We'll enjoy the atmosphere of Yanaka Ginza, with its independent shops and street food, and also walk along the quiet paths of Yanaka Cemetery. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Imperial Palace Outer Garden. We'll tour the sights, contrasting its history as the site of Edo Castle with its current appearance as the Imperial Palace. We'll conclude the day at Shibuya Scramble Crossing. We'll experience the dynamism of the city and end the day by looking down at the crossing from the observation deck on the 12th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square.

13:00 Meet at a hotel in Kobe City or JR Shin-Kobe Station (travel by taxi).

09:00 Meet at a hotel near Tokyo Station → Take the train to Ueno

09:30 Ueno(stroll) → Take the train to Yanaka

11:00 Stroll through Yanaka Shopping Street (including Yanaka Ginza)

12:30 Lunch (additional charge / nearby restaurants can be recommended) → Take the train to the Imperial Palace Outer Garden

14:00 Imperial Palace Outer Garden (stroll)

16:00 Shibuya Scramble Crossing (Experience and photography)

16:30 Shibuya Scramble Square (View from the 12th-floor observation deck)

The group will disband at 17:00 at Shibuya Station (we will provide instructions on how to get back to Tokyo Station).

We'll guide you through Ueno, focusing on Shinobazu Pond, along a walking route that conveys the feeling of the seasons. In Yanaka, we'll utilize the charm of the alleys to create a "downtown walking guide" that even first-timers won't get lost on. Since choosing shops in Yanaka Ginza can be difficult, we'll suggest places to stop by based on your preferences (sweets, prepared foods, general goods, etc.). At the Imperial Palace Outer Garden, we'll explain how to understand history in a three-dimensional way, using the remnants of Edo Castle as a clue. In Shibuya, we'll prioritize easy-to-photograph spots and safe routes, taking into account the crowds. After the tour, we'll also provide clear instructions on how to get back from Shibuya Station to Tokyo Station.
