Room 2: Ten

Ten

This geometric patterned room is designed with chevron patterns in a basic white theme. The concept of the room is yellow encroachment.

Yellow Room

Indeed, upon returning to the entrance of the room, you can see that even the walls are a monochromatic yellow. The room uses a yellow light to express “a room being encroached upon by yellow.”

Cups and Map

In addition to basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and toothbrushes, a kettle and cups are also prepared so that guests can drink tea. A map of the Koenji Station area separated into categories such as food, music, art, and second-hand clothes shops is also available so that guests can find shops that match their own preferences.

A recommendation list is also included and is useful for sightseeing destinations in Tokyo such as Nakano Broadway and Shinjuku Golden Gai. The maps and list are written entirely in English.

Each room respectively goes up to 16,000 yen with tax for one night. Prices will change depending on the season, so please check the reservation forms on the website for details.

Art You Can Appreciate Outside the Rooms

Rooftop

The rooftop floor, where events are held irregularly, is almost like a studio. Artwork drawn by hotel guests, including not only Japanese people, but Americans, Australians, Filipinos, and more, decorate the walls. A sofa is also situated on the rooftop, so we recommend this area for those who would like to relax while feeling the outdoor breeze.

Several works created by artists also line the walls of the stairways and basement party area. The various works, both large and small, that decorate the hotel make it feel as if you have gone into the world of art.

Interact With Locals at the Café and Bar

Front and cafe

The first-floor front desk is both a café and bar, not to mention an area where you will come in contact with the art world. Guests can enjoy attentively made coffee in the afternoon and alcohol in the form of cocktails and more in the evening.

Cafe space

The café prepares self-roasted coffee. A portion of the menu will change depending on the season, but all items are characterized by a fruity aroma. The beans are lightly roasted, so even those who cannot handle bitter coffee can order without any worries. Once you have ordered, the baristas will make coffee from the beans for you right there.

The ice coffee in the photo is a standard menu item, the Ethiopia Guji (550 yen plus tax). With a lemon tea-like scent faintly wafting in the air, it is an easy to drink coffee with a light taste.

The entire first floor

If possible, please try visiting the bar at around 23:00. At that time you'll be able to meet throngs of art-loving locals and tourists. All the bartenders are able to speak English, so you may also have a conversation with the locals with your bartender as your liaison.

Koenji is an area where the bonds of the local community are strong, to the extent that it is said even those who are living alone for the first time are able to immediately adapt to the area. According to the staff, they have witnessed even travelers and those who come to drink alone immediately become friends with the customers around them countless times.

Why not order a drink at the bar before returning to your room and starting a conversation between your bartender and the customer next to you? Why not talk about the art decorating the walls or the stories of your own country?

Near the Station and Perfect for Sightseeing

Exterior

BnA Hotel Koenji is at a great location about a one minute walk to the right from the north exit of JR Koenji Station. To the left will be the shotengai where individualistic restaurants and general stores are located, which is another fun area to walk around. Additionally, you can get to Shinjuku Station in approximately ten minutes and Tokyo Station in about 20 minutes without transferring trains from here, making it also convenient for sightseeing.

This is the perfect hotel for those who wish for a place to stay while integrating themselves with the art and region. Definitely please stay at the hotel and create memories of a trip only for you.
