1. Hotel Cypress Karuizawa

Hotel Cypress Karuizawa is located near JR Karuizawa Station.

The hotel rents out cribs (*), baby bottle sterilizers, and waterproof sheets. Cribs and bottle sterilizers are available in limited quantities, so be sure to request them when making your reservation.

The hotel offers a variety of types of accommodations. From rooms with a private outdoor bath to the Hollywood twin room furnished with a Simmons bed, you can make a booking that best suits your travel needs.

The family and junior suites have their own kitchen, which is ideal for preparing milk and baby food.

2. Karuizawa Hotel 1130

Karuizawa Hotel 1130 features a number of suites that range from 56 to 81 square meters in size. Out of its 238 rooms, 24 have hot spring baths and 12 have jacuzzi-style baths, making this hotel ideal for those who want to truly unwind.

Since the hot spring baths in the rooms are cleaned and refilled for every guest, babies can also enjoy a soak.

Babies are not allowed in the public baths but they can enter the pool, and young children can play in the pool with their older siblings. Just remember to have your toddler wear the pool diapers sold at the hotel.

"In our hot spring bath suites and pool, guests can help their young children become acquainted with these types of bathing and swimming facilities. We are also only a seven-minute drive away from the Karuizawa Toy Kingdom, making us a great stay for families" (Mx. Hei, Karuizawa Hotel 1130).

3. Karuizawa Hotel Longing House

At the Karuizawa Hotel Longing House, guests can rent out an outdoor bath (45 minutes for free) and enjoy a soak with their babies.

Karuizawa Hotel Longing House is also known for their delicious food. The restaurant has a vegan head chef, and they serve dishes that use local ingredients from the Shinshu region. 4. Karuizawa Prince Hotel East

Originally opened in 1973, the Karuizawa Prince Hotel East underwent renovations for its lobby, restaurant, and 70 rooms in 2017.

The wallpapers and carpets are from minä perhonen, a renowned Japanese fashion brand. Fans of the designer and interior decorating will appreciate the stylish look.

"Out of the 27 rooms in our hotel's East Cottage A, six are 'kids' rooms' furnished with bunk beds. All rooms are air-conditioned. We also have toys and baby products for families with young children. Our accommodations are very flexible, so please feel free to make any additional requests upon booking" (Mx. Nakajima, Prince Hotel).

Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza is a convenient, two-minute walk from the hotel. Transportation is also made easier by using the free shuttle service.

5. The Prince Villa Karuizawa

The Prince Villa Karuizawa is a resort with a baby-friendly environment. Since each room is its own independent cottage, you can relax with your kids without having to worry about your neighbors.

At the Prince Villa Karuizawa, there are no set hours for meals. You can go to the Center House lounge to get drinks and food at your own convenience. By minimizing the need to adapt to the hotel's schedule, guests can prioritize their toddler's needs first.

6. Le Grand Kyu Karuizawa

Having opened in the summer 2016, Le Grand Kyu Karuizawa is a beautiful hotel with a classic exterior and interior. Located on Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza Street—the main street in Karuizawa—this hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing. The Historic Mikasa Hotel, designated a national Important Cultural Property, and the Shaw Memorial Church are both a five-minute drive away.

The restaurant's concept behind its continental cuisine is to use French cooking as a foundation while incorporating elements from Japanese, Chinese, and Italian dishes.

High chairs for children between the ages of 0 and 2 are provided, so families who typically don't dine at restaurants can also enjoy a relaxing meal with their kids.

The outdoor bath on the top floor (KOMOREBI) gets its water from the spring at Yukaen in Hanamaki, Iwate (a hot spring town). It's the only natural hot spring bath in Kyu-Karuizawa. The hot water is a great way to relax and unwind from everyday stress. Please note children who aren't toilet trained cannot bathe here.
