Only a minute walk away from the south exit from the Shibuya Station is the halal certified Japanese restaurant Hanasaka Jī-san Sakuragaoka Branch. This is the only restaurant in Tokyo where you can eat halal certified Wagyū Japanese beef Shabu Shabu hot pot. It is widely popular among Muslims living in Tokyo and Muslim visitors to Japan.

The fancy interior is dimly lit. At the counter seat, you will be able to see the chefs preparing the food up close.

There are plenty of table seats as well that can cater to everyone from solo diners to larger groups.

Hanasaka Jī-san Sakuragaoka Branch is the first Japanese restaurant that was certified local halal by the Malaysian Halal Corporation. You will even find their certification with the serial number "No.0001" labeled on it.

The beef used for the shabu shabu hot pot is halal certified beef from Miyagi prefecture that was obtained through the Malaysian Halal Corporation. Other ingredients and seasonings are also Muslim friendly and the restaurant does not use alcohol as well.

This time, we ordered the Halal Gozen Set for 4500 yen. Along with halal certified Wagyū beef, there is also sashimi and tempura that come with this set as well. You will be able to savor a delicious traditional Japanese meal with this set.

The best part of the shabu shabu hot pot is when you dip the meat in the soup and watch it cook quickly. The friendly staff will be more than happy to teach you how to eat delicious shabu shabu, so first timers are more than welcome to try.

Sesame sauce matches well with the delicious beef that almost melts in your mouth!

For those who want it a little spicy, seasonings are available to customize the dishes as well.

Hanasaka Jī-san is a great place for Muslim people to safely enjoy Japanese beef shabu shabu hot pot. Only in this location you can enjoy this halal-friendly delicacy in Tokyo. Why not stop by on your next visit to Tokyo?
