TOKYO SNOW DOME CITY 2024-2025: Winter Illumination at Tokyo Dome

Tokyo Dome City will expand its winter illumination for 2025–26, turning the complex into a luminous snow dome using roughly one million LED bulbs.

The free installation runs from November 17, 2025, to March 1, 2026, and represents the event’s 21st edition, with a significant increase in scale compared with last year. Across the site, decorations and lighting are themed around snow and snow-globe imagery to create a unified winter setting.

Event Highlights

Giant Main Tree (Central Park lawn)

TOKYO SNOW DOME CITY 2024-2025: Winter Illumination at Tokyo Dome

A towering, 15-meter tree drenched in about 250,000 LEDs serves as the event’s heart, a glowing beacon that shifts through color and pattern like a living aurora. Every 15 minutes the tree synchronizes with surrounding video screens and releases a delicate shower of bubbles and sound, creating a moment that feels as if you’ve stepped inside a giant snow globe where light, music and floating spheres dance around you.

Enhanced Snow Dome (LaQua Garden, 1F)

Step up to an enormous, luminous snow dome that houses a tiny, enchanted diorama of Tokyo Dome City. Ring the bell at the dome’s entrance and the miniature streets and rooftops come alive, transforming into shifting winter tableaux, from gentle snowfall to twinkling festival scenes.

The diorama’s lights and effects respond to each bell ring, offering a small, interactive moment of wonder. Visitors may ring the bell to trigger the display until 21:00 each evening, so be sure to experience this magical, hands-on spectacle before it closes for the night.

Sparkle Tunnel (LaQua, 2F underpass beneath Thunder Dolphin)

Walk through a corridor of light that shimmers like frost on glass. The Sparkle Tunnel’s layered illumination and reflective surfaces create the illusion of moving through a tunnel of suspended starlight, where each step sends ripples of sparkle around you and every turn reveals new glittering perspectives.
