The Disney Summer Festival, themed after a Japanese festival, is being held from July 11th (Tuesday) until August 31st (Thursday) at Tokyo Disneyland. Let’s check out the highlights, limited-time foods, and merchandise only available during this period!
When you think of a true Japanese festival, you think of stalls that offers food and games to play. There are four booths lined up in the Plaza Terrace area that are designed to be like food stalls.
To start with, for summer festival drinks, is the well-known ramune (200 yen plus tax). It is a carbonated drink with a marble inside. The bottle is made of plastic so it’s also easy to carry.
Another booth offers colorful ice cream (350 yen plus tax). These are tiny beads of ice cream of various flavors including grape, pineapple, and strawberry. It has a crisp texture with a taste that changes depending on the balance of flavors in your mouth, making it a new and sensational ice cream.

You cannot miss out on the entertainment program "Sansui! Summer Beat" during Disney Summer Festival 2017. The program is performed three times daily.
Ten characters including Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald appear riding five parade floats of various sizes in front of Cinderella Castle and along the parade route.
Guests will be in a whirlpool of excitement from the high-spirited shouting typical of festivals, Disney song performances from Japanese drums, flutes, and other traditional instruments, and a special down-pouring water spray.
Donald Duck and Daisy Duck sharing a hot kiss in front of the guests. It was so hot, we wanted to have water splashed on us instead!
Now the question is, how soaked will you get? Depending on where you are, you might be met with a downpour. Using an umbrella is prohibited during the program, so it is recommended that you wear rain gear or bring clothes to change into.
