Originally, Fuerza Bruta WA! had been planned as a short run show in Tokyo. But the ecstatic audience wouldn't let that happen. Now it's back - bigger and even better! - as a long run production with an extra "!" not only in the name.

But what is this amazing show all about?

What Is Fuerza Bruta?

"Fuerza Bruta" is a Spanish term for "brute force" or "sheer physical force". This performance originated in a show created by an artist called Diqui James held in Buenos Aires in 2003.

If you decide to go to a Fuerza Bruta show, you will experience a 360-degree, high energy, nonstop show. Moreover, at a Fuerza Bruta show, you won't just be a spectator, you will become part of the show!

What is WA!! all about?

The "WA!!" in the title is inspired by the Japanese expression "wa!", which stands for "wow!" or "oh!". It is also a reference to traditional Japanese culture, known as "Wa".

This non-verbal show is inspired by the "image of Japan" and has been 10 years in the making.

Japan may have the image of a magical land full of geishas dancing so elegantly they seem to float, flying ninjas and brave samurai.

Fuerza Bruta WA!! wants to take you to a land where all these colorful dreams about Japan come true. Even better, they want you to be part of this dreamland!

Even though WA!! is a Japanese show, the cast is international. The best acrobatic artists from all over the world have gathered to take part in this show.

Floating Geishas

Did you ever think geishas are so elegant that they seem to float? Well, in this show they really do! They keep their grace even in the heart of the storm.

Not even hanging upside down can keep them from performing their art.

Flying Ninjas

It must be one of the most common myths that ninjas were so fast that they could even fly. It's doubtful that they really could, but who are we to argue?!

The ninjas in WA!! can definitely fly! Be careful as they might be trying to take you with them!

The Waterpool in the Sky

This part of the show is inspired by the see-through kayaks you can experience in some parts of Japan. While you normally can watch fish and sea life swimming by while you are in the boat, here you can watch a powerful water play unfold.

Maybe you are even the one being watched after all! Aren't we all just fish in a sea anyway?

An Exciting Matsuri (Japanese Festival)

Everything in WA!! is over the top in the best way possible. Their matsuri (Japanese festival) is no exception. The performers will literally party the house down!

Even though you can't take part in breaking down the house, you will be able to take part in the festival. If you are daring enough, you can join the crew on one of the big floats. Otherwise, you can just dance and celebrate with new found friends in the audience.

In any case, the energy in the hall will be so high, you can't help but join.
