Jonathan's Top Five Most Popular Menu Items

1. Yummy as Wagyu! 100% Premium Aussie Beef Hamburger

Yummy as Wagyu! 100% Premium Aussie Beef Hamburger, is one of Jonathan's most popular dishes. This entree by itself (not including rice or salad) is reasonably-priced at 1099 yen (plus tax).

This special hamburger is made with 100% Australian beef. The beef, which comes from cattle with more than fifty percent wagyu DNA, is tender and juicy.

To go along with this main dish there are various set combinations, including the addition of rice and also an all-you-can-drink beverage bar. In place of regular white rice, you can also order zakkokumai (rice with mixed grains), or bread.

Choose whatever set best suits you (starting at 360 yen, not including tax).

2. Fried Chicken with Grated Radish Set

The Fried Chicken with Grated Radish Set, costs 1099 yen (plus tax), and includes rice, miso soup, a small side dish and tsukemono (Japanese pickles). For the rice, you can substitute rice with mixed grains which tends to be a healthy choice.

This is the perfect example of ichiju sansai (*1), a standard kind of Japanese meal.

*1 Ichiju Sansai: means one soup (ichiju) and three side dishes (sansai), and generally refers to the typical makeup of a Japanese meal. A bowl of white rice is also added to complete this set meal.

3. Risotto with Snow Crab

Snow crab and fluffy eggs are the perfect combination in this zosui (risotto-like dish). This set also includes a small side dish and Japanese pickles and costs 849 yen (plus tax).

This dish will warm up your insides and is the perfect choice for the winter season.

4. Oven-Roasted Okra

Oven-roasted Okra, which costs 250 yen (plus tax), makes the ideal otsumami (snack) for alcohol.

Guests can enjoy an extensive selection of other snack and appetizer items, such as grilled sausage, and buffalo mozzarella caprese, and all go for the inexpensive price of 250 yen (plus tax).

The varied alcohol menu includes Japanese beer such as Suntory the premium malts (one stein-499 yen, plus tax), Suntory kaku highball (499 yen, plus tax), and red and white wine (249 yen per glass, plus tax), to mention just some of the choices.

5. Bracken-Starch Dumplings (Matcha Flavored) with Soft Serve

On the sweets menu we highly recommend the braken-starch dumplings (matcha flavored) with soft serve ice cream, an exquisite dessert that combines the light and refreshing taste of the matcha green tea, with the sweetness of the soft ice cream. It costs 499 yen (plus tax), and many customers make a repeat visit just for this popular dish.

Jonathan's Tea Leaf - A Wide Selection of Teas

Jonathan's drink bar has soft drinks, coffee and other beverages, but one of it's unique features is the wide array of teas available.

Jonathan's tea leaf, has ten different varieties of tea on the menu, so you can choose whichever one suits you on the day you drop in. As part of the drink bar set, it costs 299 yen (plus tax). When ordered separately from the drink bar, it costs 399 yen (plus tax).

Hours of Operation

Jonathan's business hours depend on the restaurant location; some are open twenty-four hours a day, while others remain open until midnight. So when going to your local Jonathan's, we recommend checking their hours of operation beforehand.
